Last wednesday, 20th of June, our colleagues Dr. Luis Á. Ruiz and Dr. Jorge A. Recio gave a workshop on “Updating of land cover databases using object-based techniques: Features extraction” at the XVIII National Congress of Geographical Information Technologies .
The fundamentals of the extraction of descriptive attributes from images using object-based techniques and their application to the updating of land cover databases were described. Moreover, it was implemented using the free image information extraction software at the object level, Fetex v2 (available at: cgat.webs.upv.es/software/).
